Final Fantasy 16 Coming to PC Next Month

Final Fantasy XVI is finally coming to PC this September, and the future looks bright for cross-platform releases! Director Hiroshi Takai's comments suggest simultaneous PC and console launches may be on the horizon for future installments. Let's dive into the details.
Final Fantasy XVI PC Launch: September 17th
Square Enix has officially confirmed the PC release date of September 17th. This announcement is significant, not only for PC gamers but also as a strong indication of Square Enix's commitment to broader platform support.
The PC version will be available for $49.99, with a Complete Edition at $69.99. The Complete Edition bundles the game with both story expansions: Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide. A playable demo is currently available, allowing players to experience the prologue and an Eikonic Challenge combat mode. Progress from the demo carries over to the full game.
In an interview with Rock Paper Shotgun, Director Hiroshi Takai highlighted the PC version's enhanced capabilities: "We've increased the frame rate cap to 240fps, and you can choose from various upscaling technologies such as NVIDIA DLSS3, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS."
With the PC release imminent, now's the perfect time to revisit our console version review, which praised the game as a "good step in the right direction for the series overall."
