Freedom Wars Remastered: How to Save
In the fast-paced world of modern gaming, auto-save features have become a staple, ensuring players don't lose their hard-earned progress. However, in Freedom Wars Remastered, where players are constantly engaged in fierce battles against towering Abductors and must navigate the strict rules of the Panopticon, manually saving becomes a critical skill. Given the game's intense nature, it's wise to save your progress whenever possible, whether you're gearing up for a tough mission or simply taking a break. Let's delve into how to save your game in Freedom Wars Remastered.
How to Save in Freedom Wars Remastered

At the outset of the game, you'll encounter a tutorial that introduces the core mechanics. While informative, the influx of information can be overwhelming. You'll notice a small saving icon on the right side of your screen intermittently. The game does feature an Autosave system that kicks in after missions, significant dialogues, or cutscenes. However, relying solely on Autosave can be risky, which is where the Manual Save option becomes invaluable.
Freedom Wars Remastered offers a Manual Save feature, albeit with a single save file. This means you can't use multiple files to revisit earlier points in the story. To manually save, interact with your Accessory in your Panopticon Cell and choose the "Save Data" option, which is the second on the list. Your Accessory will grant permission, and your progress will be securely saved.

This limitation means that important in-game decisions are locked in, affecting the game's outcome without the possibility of reversal. For PlayStation users with a PlayStation Plus subscription, there's a convenient workaround: you can upload your data to the Cloud and download it later. This feature is particularly useful for revisiting crucial moments or safeguarding your progress against potential data loss.
Given that some players have reported game crashes, it's advisable to save frequently to prevent losing your progress.
