New Game Announced by Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Creators
La prestigiosa estudio española MercurySteam, reconocida por su trabajo en proyectos como Castlevania: Lords of Shadow y Metroid Dread, ha presentado su nuevo proyecto: un RPG de acción titulado Blades of Fire. Desarrollado en colaboración con el editor 505 Games, este título promete sumergir a los jugadores en un oscuro mundo de fantasía poblado por razas misteriosas y feroces criaturas.
El primer tráiler muestra una combatividad rápida y frenética, un estilo visual único y un ambiente oscuro e inmersivo. En cuanto a la jugabilidad y diseño artístico, Blades of Fire guarda similitudes con Lords of Shadow, mientras que su entorno y diseños de enemigos muestran claras influencias de Darksiders. Además, el avance presenta un pájaro mecánico, que el protagonista probablemente utilizará para recorrer el mundo del juego.
Blades of Fire está siendo desarrollado sobre el motor gráfico propietario Mercury Engine de MercurySteam, lo que podría ayudarlo a evitar los problemas de optimización frecuentes en muchos proyectos actuales que utilizan Unreal Engine 5.
El juego está programado para su lanzamiento el 22 de mayo de 2025 y estará disponible en consolas de nueva generación (PS5, Xbox Series) y PC (a través de Epic Games Store).
