As reported by Nintendo Life, a fresh FCC filing for a "game controller" aligns perfectly with the Switch 2 and suggests a wireless Bluetooth design. Intrepid internet sleuths at Famiboards have delved into the filing and believe that one of the images shows a label location that corresponds with the back of a GameCube controller, right behind the C-Stick.

Although it could be mistaken for a Switch 2 Pro Controller, the prevailing theory is that this new controller will enhance the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service, which already supports wireless classic controllers for retro gaming.

This development has sparked speculation about a potential GameCube library coming to Nintendo Switch Online. Fans have been eagerly requesting GameCube classics on the Switch, but Nintendo has so far focused on re-releasing games from the NES, SNES, N64, Sega Genesis, and Game Boy.
