After an eagerly anticipated wait, fans of the iconic puzzle game can rejoice as World of Goo (mobile) returns with a full sequel. Developed by 2DBOY and Tomorrow Corporation, World of Goo 2 has now been released on mobile platforms for Android and iOS, as well as on Steam and PlayStation 5.

A Ton of New Stuff

World of Goo 2 Mobile introduces a plethora of exciting features, including over 30 new achievements to unlock. A significant addition is the introduction of an options menu, marking a first for any game from 2DBOY or Tomorrow Corporation.

The original World of Goo, launched on Windows in October 2008, captivated players with its innovative gameplay where you construct bizarre bridges and towers using goo balls, battling the forces of physics and gravity. In the sequel, players can now interact with realistic flowing, splashing, and viscous liquids. These can be manipulated like rivers, transformed into Goo Balls, used to extinguish fires, and solve an array of challenging puzzles.

World of Goo 2 Mobile also introduces new types of Goo, such as Jelly Goo, Liquid Launchers, Growing Goo, Shrinking Goo, Explosive Goo, and many other unique varieties. Players will enjoy experimenting with these diverse species to discover how they interact and work together to solve puzzles.

There Are a Lot of Levels to Chew Through in the World of Goo 2 Mobile

The sequel boasts an expansive new storyline that spans across five chapters, comprising over 60 new levels, each packed with additional challenges. The narrative unfolds over a timeline stretching hundreds of thousands of years.

Players will engage with a mysterious company that presents itself as environmentally conscious, tasked with collecting as much Goo as possible. However, as you delve deeper into the game, you’ll uncover that there’s much more to this company than meets the eye.
