Alkimia Interactive, the creators of the eagerly awaited Gothic 1 Remake, have provided journalists with early access to a fresh demo. Originally slated for Gamescom, this demo will soon be available to the public.

This preview offers a glimpse into the complete game, featuring a new protagonist, Niras, rather than the original Nameless Hero. Niras, a fellow prisoner, arrives in the Miners' Valley, interacting with its inhabitants and laying the groundwork for the overarching storyline.

A prologue demo, showcasing Niras' arrival and introduction to the Colony's harsh realities, was previously unveiled at Gamescom 2024. This expanded demo will soon be released, giving players a chance to explore the revitalized world of Gothic. Both the current demo and the final game are nearly entirely rebuilt, promising extended gameplay, enhanced orc interactions, and heightened immersion. Expect a significantly richer and more captivating experience than the original.

The Gothic 1 Remake demo will debut on Steam during the Steam Next Fest event. It will be free to play from the evening of February 24th to the evening of March 3rd. Following this period, access will be revoked. The full Gothic 1 Remake is scheduled for release later this year on PC (Steam, GOG), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
