GTA 6: A $1.3 Billion Day-One Prediction?

Ned Luke confidently anticipates GTA 6 generating $1.3 billion in its first 24 hours. In a Fall Damage YouTube interview, he highlighted Rockstar's knack for the unexpected, suggesting GTA 6 will surpass even the impressive $800 million debut of GTA 5 in 2013.

Luke urges patience, assuring fans, "It's going to be worth the wait. From what I've seen, it's going to be amazing." Market research firm DFC Intelligence echoes this optimism, forecasting over 40 million units sold and $3.2 billion in first-year revenue, with $1 billion attributed to pre-orders alone.

Returning GTA 5 Characters? The GTA 6 Mystery

Luke offered intriguing hints about the potential return of GTA 5 characters. While Michael remains absent from GTA Online, Trevor and Franklin have made appearances. Luke teased Michael's possible inclusion in a final GTA Online DLC or even GTA 6 itself.

Steven Ogg (Trevor) previously suggested a "passing the torch" scenario where Trevor meets his end early in GTA 6. Luke remained coy, stating, "Maybe [Michael, Franklin, and Trevor will be] in GTA 6... Maybe. Maybe not. You know Rockstar is not going to tell you anything." Despite the actors' enthusiasm, official confirmation remains elusive.

GTA 6: In the Testing Phase?

Former Rockstar animator Mike York, in a since-deleted interview with YouTuber Kiwi Talkz, hinted that GTA 6 is likely undergoing internal testing. He emphasized the game's unique unpredictability, stating, "There are a lot of things that can happen that you don't really think about until some random kid in his basement tries it."

York believes the game is playable and extensively tested internally, with "little extras" still being added.

Rockstar's December 2023 trailer remains the only official communication since the game's announcement. While a Fall 2025 release was previously suggested, no official release date has been confirmed.
