"Guide: Collecting All Dark Instruments in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza Hawaii"

In *Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii*, Goro Majima's "Sea Dog" pirate fighting style is enhanced with four distinct and potent finishers, perfect for tackling large crowds. However, obtaining all the dark instruments in the game is no small feat. Let's dive into how you can unlock each of these powerful tools.
How To Obtain The Dark God's Violin in Pirate Yakuza
The Dark God’s Violin is the first Dark Instrument you can unlock in *Pirate Yakuza*, and it's essential for progressing through the main story. You'll encounter it during Chapter 2, where Jason, one of your crew members, directs you to meet an old friend. Unfortunately, the Devil Flag pirates have already struck, killing Jason’s friend and stealing the Pharoh Stone.
This event introduces you to Misaki, the orphaned daughter of Jason's slain friend, who joins your crew seeking vengeance. Her addition sets the side story in motion, leading you to the islands east of Madlantis. Here, you'll face a formidable fleet of Devil Flag pirates. Focus your attacks on the boss ship to board it and engage in the next stage of combat. After defeating the Devil Flags, you'll claim the Dark God's Violin. Your first chance to use this new finisher comes during a thrilling 100-enemy brawl on the island.
Following your victory, a cutscene introduces you to the fleet's captains: Yakuza, Ronin, Shinobi, and Zeus. They challenge the Goro Pirates, marking the official start of this side quest. While not required for the main story, defeating these captains is essential if you want to collect all the Dark Instruments.
How To Obtain The Dark God's Ocarina in Pirate Yakuza
After securing the first boss ship and surviving the initial 100-enemy brawl, you'll notice special Devil Flag markers across the waters of *Pirate Yakuza*. Defeating these ships earns you Devil Flags, and you'll need 70 to proceed to the next Dark Instrument. Engage any Devil Flag ships or treasure islands you encounter to quickly amass these flags.
Once you've collected 70 flags, Atali Island will unlock on your map. Prepare a strong landing party, as you'll face multiple waves of attackers here. After navigating through these battles, you'll reach a treasure chest containing the Dark God's Ocarina. However, you must first defeat Devil Flag Captain Yakuza to claim it.
How To Obtain The Dark God's Guitar in Pirate Yakuza
After defeating Captain Yakuza, new objectives lead you to an island where the Pharoh Stone is supposedly hidden. However, it's a trap, leading to another 100-enemy fight. Use this opportunity to test your new Dark God's Ocarina. After the battle, you'll learn that Zeus is headed to Flame Island.
To progress, you'll need a three-star ranking and 130 Devil Flags. Keep defeating Devil Flag Pirates as you sail. Once you have the required flags, head to the Flame Entrance Lighthouse, which triggers a cutscene and opens up four treasure islands: Sunset, Heatwave, Welldone, and Scorching Heat. Remember, you can't use health items on these islands, so ensure Goro and his landing crew are well-upgraded.
After conquering these islands, you'll face another fleet battle. Focus on the boss ship, board it, and defeat the first mate to land on Flame Island. Choose Jason, Masaru, Minami, and Saejima for your team. After several small battles, you'll confront Captain Ronin. Use your Dark Instruments to defeat him and claim the Dark God of the Earth's Guitar from the treasure chest.
How To Obtain the Dark God's Saxophone in Pirate Yakuza
The Dark God's Saxophone is the final Dark Instrument you need to obtain in *Pirate Yakuza*. You'll need a Pirate Rank Four, which you can achieve by completing main story missions, recruiting new crew members, and engaging in mini-games and side quests. You'll also need 220 Devil Flags.
Sail to the Frost Entrance Lighthouse to trigger another cutscene and engage with the Devil Flag's Fleet blocking Frost Island. Four more islands (Snowview, Coldwave, Icicle Island, and Glacial) will be available to plunder for more Devil Flags. Defeat Captain Shinobi's First Fleet before disembarking to face the Devil Flag pirates on the island.
After navigating through battles and a recovery area, you'll face Captain Shinobi in a final boss fight on Frost Island. Defeat him to trigger a cutscene where Zeus takes Misaki hostage, and the level ends with Goro obtaining the Dark God's Saxophone.
One last boss fight awaits against Zeus to rescue Misaki. This two-stage battle, both at sea and on an island, is the most challenging in the game. However, completing it isn't necessary if your goal is solely to collect all four Dark Instruments.
And that's how you obtain all Dark Instruments in *Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii*.
*Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.*
