Lenovo has put to rest recent speculation that a PC version of Halo 5: Guardians is in the works. The buzz started after a promotional image for the Lenovo Legion Go S suggested that Halo 5: Guardians would soon be available on Steam. However, Lenovo clarified that this was merely a mockup design and not a sign of an upcoming release.

With the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC, Halo 5: Guardians stands out as the only mainline game in the series yet to make its way to the platform. This absence is particularly noticeable for PC gamers eager to experience the complete Halo saga without needing an Xbox One. Interestingly, a PC version of the Forge editor for Halo 5: Guardians was released in 2016, but the full game never followed. Despite ongoing rumors, no official announcement has been made.

The speculation reignited when mockup images for the Lenovo Legion Go S appeared to hint at Halo 5: Guardians coming to Steam. However, Lenovo's senior community manager, Ben Green, quickly dispelled these rumors with a straightforward "No lol" when asked if it was a leak for the upcoming Xbox Developer Direct event. Despite this, the image remains on Lenovo's site, suggesting it was not an intentional leak. Green later mentioned that he had forwarded the issue to Lenovo's design team for review.
