Warhorse Studios is putting the final touches on a brutally challenging hardcore mode for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. The developers recently announced on Discord that a select group of 100 volunteer testers are currently putting the mode through its paces. Recruitment for these testers has now closed, signaling the hardcore mode is nearing completion.

While details are scarce, expect a level of difficulty reminiscent of the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance's hardcore mode. That mode famously limited saves, boosted enemy damage, made navigation a true test of skill, slashed gold rewards, and even introduced negative perks. Deliverance 2's hardcore mode will likely build upon these features, promising an even more unforgiving experience.

Testers are under strict non-disclosure agreements, preventing the sharing of screenshots or videos. However, this testing phase strongly suggests an official announcement and release of the hardcore mode is imminent. This challenging new mode will be a free update, ensuring all players can experience the heightened difficulty.
