Hearthstone has unveiled the highly anticipated Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set, launching January 21st. This massive expansion—the largest in Hearthstone history—introduces 49 brand-new cards, a significant boost compared to typical Mini-Sets. The cards are divided into class cards, multi-class cards representing the three StarCraft factions (Zerg, Protoss, Terran), and a single neutral Legendary card.

Initially teased during the Warcraft Direct on November 13, 2024, Heroes of StarCraft marks a thrilling crossover between Hearthstone and Blizzard's acclaimed StarCraft universe. Following the initial announcement, full details have now been revealed, showcasing the extensive content within this micro-expansion.

The 49 cards are strategically distributed: each Hearthstone class receives three new cards, while each StarCraft faction contributes five faction-specific cards playable by associated classes, including one Legendary card per faction. A final neutral Legendary card, Grunty, completes the set. A selection of these cards has already been revealed, with further previews planned throughout the week leading up to the launch.

The Zerg cards (playable by Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Hunter, and Warlock) focus on summoning massive Zergling swarms, leveraging the Hydralisk's damage scaling with swarm size. Protoss cards (for Druid, Mage, Priest, and Rogue) center around manipulating mana, enabling the efficient deployment of powerful cards like the Carrier. Finally, Paladin, Shaman, and Warrior classes gain access to enhanced Starship mechanics from Hearthstone's The Great Dark Beyond set, featuring new Starship Pieces, streamlined multi-Starship deployment, and a unique Mech-type Starship.
