Helldivers 2 Update 01.000.403: Bug Fixes and Quality of Life Improvements

Arrowhead Game Studios has released Helldivers 2 patch 01.000.403, addressing a critical crash bug affecting the FAF-14 Spear and implementing numerous other fixes to enhance the overall player experience. This follows a pattern of consistent updates from the developers since the game's 2024 release, demonstrating their commitment to addressing player feedback and improving gameplay.

A previous patch resolved a Spear aiming issue, but unintentionally introduced a new crash. This has now been rectified in 01.000.403. Additionally, the update eliminates a separate crash triggered by unique hellpod patterns during launch cutscenes. A significant addition is the global rollout of Japanese voice-overs for both PS5 and PC platforms.

This update also tackles several miscellaneous bugs: corrupted text in Traditional Chinese has been corrected, the Plasma Punisher now functions correctly with the SH-32 and FX-12 Shield Generators, Quasar cannon heat management is accurately adjusted for varying planetary temperatures, and visual glitches such as the purple Spore Spewer and pink question marks have been removed. The fix for the resetting of available Operations after reconnection from inactivity is also included.

While many issues have been resolved, some remain under active development. These include problems with in-game friend requests, medal and Super Credit payout delays, invisible (but active) mines, inconsistent Arc weapon behavior, weapons firing below the crosshair while aiming down sights, and the persistent resetting of the Career tab mission count to zero. Outdated weapon descriptions are also on the list for future updates.
