For fans eagerly awaiting the Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy set, June might seem like a distant dream. But to keep the excitement alive, Wizards of the Coast has just unveiled a sneak peek at over a dozen brand-new cards from the set, showcasing iconic characters like Sephiroth, Yuffie, Cecil, Garland, Chaos, and more. This reveal not only includes a variety of new cards but also features several art variations, complementing the four commander cards we've already seen: Tidus, Cloud, Y'shtola, and Terra. Among the highlights are powerful legendaries such as Sephiroth and Cecil, alongside a fresh Food token art and unique art variations on cards like Stilzkin, Moogle Merchant; Sin, Spira's Punishment; and Summon: Shiva. Today's reveal also highlights some unique features of the set, such as Summons, which are part of Magic's first-ever Saga creatures that players can call upon for aid in battle (see Summon: Shiva in the gallery). Additionally, the set brings back double-faced cards, exemplified by Cecil's dual sides: Dark Knight and Redeemed Paladin.

The Final Fantasy set will boast over 100 legendary creature cards, including 55 legendary borderless cards, some illustrated by fan-favorite artists from the Final Fantasy series. This set is fully draftable and Standard-legal, set to launch on June 13, alongside four preconstructed Commander decks. Each deck is themed around a different Final Fantasy game: 6, 7, 10, and 14, and includes 100 cards, blending new Final Fantasy cards with existing cards featuring new Final Fantasy art.
