Unfrozen has debuted a new gameplay trailer for Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, highlighting core strategy game elements such as mechanics, units, and gameplay flow. Alongside the trailer, the studio opened registration for the closed beta of the "Arena" mode. Players can apply for access through the game’s Steam page, with testing set for March 17 to March 28.

Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is slated for early access on Steam in Q2 2025. At launch, it will offer six factions, three single-player modes, and three multiplayer modes. Ubisoft is overseeing the publishing of this much-awaited title.

The developers recently showcased the Dungeon faction, featuring troglodytes, dark elves, minotaurs, medusas, hydras, and dragons. These units add distinct tactical layers to the battlefield, enhancing the game’s strategic richness.

Unfrozen’s team faced hurdles in developing the Arena mode, particularly in balancing skills and heroes due to constrained space and no initial advantages. They overcame these challenges, ensuring a seamless and captivating experience for players.

While the game is planned for a PC release later this year, a specific launch date remains unconfirmed. The developers aim to craft an experience that resonates with both long-time fans and new players.
