Deadlock has been captivating gamers for several months now, and its roster of heroes continues to grow, with six new experimental heroes recently added. Dive into the details of Deadlock's latest heroes, exploring their skills, weapons, and intriguing backstories.

Deadlock Introduces Six Experimental Heroes in Latest Update

New Heroes, Changed Names, and Reused Skills for the Roster

Valve's eagerly awaited MOBA shooter, Deadlock, made its grand entrance in mid-2024 and has since maintained its position at the top of Steam's Most Wishlisted games. With consistent weekly updates, the game keeps its community engaged, but the "10-24-2024" update stands out as a major milestone, unveiling six new heroes for players to explore and test within the Hero Sandbox mode.

These new heroes—Calico, Fathom (previously known as Slork), Holliday (also referred to as Astro in skill descriptions), Magician, Viper, and Wrecker—are currently exclusive to the Hero Sandbox mode, not yet available in casual or ranked PvP matches. While their kits have been implemented, some Skills are still placeholders, borrowed from existing heroes, like Magician’s ultimate ability, which is currently a duplicate of Paradox’s Paradoxical Swap.

Hero	Description
Calico	An agile and sneaky mid-to-frontline hero, adept at striking from the sidelines while remaining unseen and elusive.
Fathom	A short-ranged burst assassin, optimized for diving into combat and swiftly eliminating key targets.
Holliday	A mid-to-long-ranged DPS/Assassin, leveraging headshots and explosives to decimate foes from a distance.
Magician	A tactical, long-ranged DPS who manipulates projectiles, teleports, and swaps positions with allies and enemies.
Viper	A mid-to-long-ranged burst assassin who can envenom bullets, causing damage over time and eventually petrifying groups of enemies.
Wrecker	A mid-to-close range brawler who turns troopers and NPCs into scrap and projectiles for their Skills.
