Hollywood Eyes Split Fiction for Movie Adaptation
Exciting news for fans of *Split Fiction*: the acclaimed co-op action adventure game is set to hit the big screen! According to Variety, multiple top Hollywood studios have been vying for the movie rights, prompting a package to be assembled in response. Story Kitchen, a media company renowned for adapting games and other non-traditional properties into film and TV, is at the helm of this project. They're currently pulling together the writers, director, and cast into a compelling package deal. This is the same team that brought us the upcoming film adaptation of Hazelight Studios' previous hit, *It Takes Two*. Story Kitchen, formerly known as dj2 Entertainment, has also been behind successful projects like the *Sonic the Hedgehog* films and Netflix's *Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft*. While details are sparse at this stage, anticipation is already building.
The good news keeps coming for *Split Fiction*; it was confirmed earlier this month that the game sold over two million copies in its first week on sale. IGN's review praised *Split Fiction* as an unmissable co-op adventure that remains fabulously fresh throughout its full, 14-hour duration.
Adding to the excitement, Hazelight director Josef Fares recently confirmed that the studio is already working on its next game.
