Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered enhances the thrilling action gameplay with robust weapon and outfit customization options. You can tailor one outfit for stealth missions against machines, while another might be optimized for melee or ranged combat. However, there are moments when you might wish to harness the benefits of multiple outfits simultaneously. Fortunately, this is possible within certain constraints, and this guide will walk you through the process.

Remastered Version Of Horizon Zero Dawn Required

To enjoy the dual outfit effects in Horizon Zero Dawn, you'll need the Remastered version. A recent update introduced the transmog feature, allowing you to retain the stats and effects of one outfit while adopting the appearance of another. This means you no longer have to compromise on style for the sake of stats.

Pre-Requisite For The Two Outfit Method

To utilize the effects of two outfits, there are specific requirements to consider. Not all outfits are compatible with this method. While you can choose any outfit for your primary stats, the secondary outfit must be one of the following:

• Banuk Werak Runner
• Banuk Werak Chieftain
• Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept (available only in New Game Plus)

These outfits are exclusive to the Frozen Wilds DLC area, so you won't be able to use this technique at the beginning of the game. Fortunately, you don't need to finish the base game to access the DLC.

How To Get Banuk Werak Outfits In Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered

Banuk Werak Runner

Start by reaching the expansion area after defeating the new machine. If you find this challenging, consider lowering the difficulty or upgrading your gear. Once in the area, find a Bluegleam Merchant (marked by a blue Merchant icon) and purchase the Banuk Werak Runner outfit.

Banuk Werak Chieftain & Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept

For the superior Banuk Werak Chieftain outfit, you must complete the "For the Werak" quest, the third main quest in the Frozen Wilds DLC. Equip your best gear for this challenging mission, or switch to Story mode for an easier completion. The process for obtaining the Adept version is identical, but it's only available in New Game Plus.

Once you've acquired the second outfit, you're ready to proceed. You don't need to continue with the Frozen Wilds content if you don't wish to.

What To Do To Get the Effects Of Two Outfits

First, equip your preferred outfit with the desired stats. Remember, you can enhance an outfit's stats with Weaves. After selecting your primary outfit, use the transmog feature to apply the appearance of one of the three Banuk Werak outfits. Although these outfits don't add extra stats, they provide automatic healing after sustaining damage for a period.

This method lets you maintain the stats of your chosen outfit while benefiting from the auto-healing perk of the Banuk Werak outfits. If your primary outfit is the Shield Weaver, you become nearly invincible, as you rarely take damage. When you do, the Banuk Werak outfits' healing perk activates after a brief delay.

The Chieftain and Chieftain Adept outfits' healing perk activates much quicker than the Banuk Werak Runner's, so prioritize these if available.
