InZOI's Game Director, Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim, has revealed intriguing details about the game's paranormal elements. Players will have limited control over ghosts, a mechanic interwoven with InZOI's karma system. This system tracks player actions, influencing not only their current lives but also their afterlife.

A character's karma determines their fate after death: peaceful transition to the afterlife or a lingering ghostly existence. Ghosts, needing to accumulate missing karma points, must complete certain tasks to finally move on.

While the early access version of InZOI features ghosts, player control over them will be a later addition. Kim emphasized InZOI's focus on realism, keeping paranormal elements subtle. However, he hinted at the potential for future unexplained phenomena within the game's world.
