While you can forge friendships with almost everyone in *Fields of Mistria*, romance is reserved for a select group of 11 NPCs, including Caldarus himself, as of the v0.13.0 update. Each romanceable NPC has a heart meter that fills based on your interactions with them. To build a romance, you should:

**Talk to them daily** – A little chat each day while you're out and about in town can make a big difference.
**Complete their requests** – Check the town board regularly and fulfill their requests to boost their heart gauge.
**Give them gifts** – You can gift them once per day. Choose items they love or like, which vary by character. Make sure to give them a beloved item on their birthday for an extra boost.

Currently, the heart gauge can only reach up to six hearts. At this level, a cutscene will hint at a budding romance but not a full-fledged one yet. According to the game’s roadmap, future updates will include 8 and 10-heart events, as well as options for marriage and children, so your romance with Juniper has plenty of room to grow.

Juniper's friendship profile in Fields of Mistria Juniper, a romanceable character in *Fields of Mistria*, can often be found running her bathhouse in the northeastern part of town or searching for unique witchcraft ingredients. To romance her, visit her frequently, complete her requests on the town board, and bring her thoughtful gifts daily.

Juniper’s birthday falls on the **26th day of Fall**. On this day, make sure to gift her an item she loves for an extra boost to her heart gauge. Be cautious not to gift her items she dislikes, which include all universal dislikes and **Sod**. You can monitor her heart gauge progress in your journal under the heart icon tab.
