Argenia stands at a crossroads, transitioning from a medieval past into a magically-charged future. The discovery of ancient ruins containing incredibly potent magical technology ignites a fierce struggle for control. While a brutal war eventually subsides, the fragile peace remains precarious, with the threat of renewed conflict ever-present.
At the heart of the narrative lies Eldia, a global task force dedicated to preventing another catastrophic war. Their mission: research, monitor, and control access to these powerful ruins, safeguarding the world from the potential devastation of ancient weaponry and technology.
Strategic Combat and Unique Mechanics
Eldgear's combat system, while not overly complex, offers strategic depth through its turn-based battles. However, the game's mechanics add a layer of intrigue. The EMA (Embedding Abilities) system allows you to equip three abilities per unit, usable at any time. These abilities range from stat boosts to tactical options like Stealth, enabling you to outmaneuver enemies or protect your allies.
The EXA (Expanding Abilities) system unlocks when your Tension meter reaches maximum during combat, unleashing devastating special attacks.
Adding to the mystery are the powerful GEAR machines, some benevolent guardians, others menacing threats. Explore their capabilities and harness their power!
