Warhorse Studios has launched a major free update for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, labeled version 1.2. This update brings two key additions: native mod integration via Steam Workshop and a completely new barbershop feature.

Steam Workshop support streamlines downloading and installing mods directly from the game, removing the need for external tools. This feature, however, relies on modders publishing their creations on the Workshop. Currently, only a handful of mods are live, such as:

Free Saving : Lets players save without limits by automatically refilling the "Saviour Schnapps" item each time it's consumed or lost.Helmet of Henry VIII : Introduces a historically inspired horned helmet.Tourist : Stops NPCs from reacting to trespassing, giving access to story-locked areas.Pebbles the Zebra : Turns your horse into a zebra with a distinctive look.

Although the present library is small, the modding scene is poised to grow quickly. With thousands of mods already on Nexus Mods, many authors are expected to distribute their work across both sites. Steam Workshop might not match Nexus in volume, but popular mods will undoubtedly migrate soon.

Alongside modding, players can now visit barbers in Rattay and Kuttenberg to alter their hairstyle or facial hair. Any style selected grants a temporary Charisma boost to the main character.

Update 1.2 includes much more, as shown by the detailed patch notes on the official site. Warhorse Studios mentions over a thousand fixes and upgrades touching almost every part of the game. These cover balance tweaks, smoother animations, and smarter NPC conduct. For example, the crime system now operates with higher precision.

The developers will discuss these updates in a livestream next Thursday. Warhorse Studios continues to back the game, with three premium DLC expansions slated for spring, summer, and winter.

Thanks to Steam Workshop integration, fresh customization choices, and numerous gameplay tweaks, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II keeps improving, delivering a deeper medieval adventure.
