How To Catch Kubfu in Pokemon GO
The Might and Mastery event is now live in Pokemon GO, bringing a host of new features to the beloved mobile game. The spotlight, however, shines brightly on the introduction of the Wushu Pokemon. Fans of Pokemon GO have eagerly awaited the arrival of Kubfu and its evolution, Urshifu, ever since they debuted in the Pokemon Sword and Shield DLC. The wait is finally over, and players can now embark on a journey to capture Kubfu by completing a few tasks.
To get your hands on Kubfu, navigate to your Special Research tab and locate the "Might and Mastery" section. Here's a comprehensive list of the challenges you need to tackle:

Once you've completed all three quests, Kubfu will make its appearance, and you'll earn 891 XP for adding this Pokemon to your collection. Remember, the Special Research is available only until Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 9:59 AM local time, so don't miss your chance to catch Kubfu.
Can You Catch More Than One Kubfu in Pokemon GO?
For those who desire more than one Kubfu, Pokemon GO has you covered. By purchasing the Paid Special Research – Fuzzy Fighter pass for $8, you'll unlock additional Research tasks and the chance to catch a second Kubfu. The pass also comes with these rewards:
- One Incense
- Two Premium Battle Passes
- One Star Piece
- Encounters with Season-themed Pokémon
- A rare encounter with a Dynamax Kubfu
However, you must purchase the Fuzzy Fighter pass by March 10, 2025, at 10 AM local time. Once purchased, you can take your time completing the tasks, as they won't disappear from your game.

Can You Evolve Kubfu in Pokemon GO?
While Kubfu is undeniably cute, competitive players are keen to know if they can evolve it into Urshifu.
