Solo developer Jo Drolet has announced Lhea and the Word Spirit, an upcoming single-player roguelite where players guide lost souls through mysterious realms. Your mission is to seal the dreaded In-Between, navigating the boundary between life and death with the guidance of an ancient Word Spirit. The game features minimalist visuals and a unique "timeline battle system."

In Lhea and the Word Spirit, players will manipulate the flow of battle, utilizing a collection of enchanted rings that can be equipped and upgraded. Customizing these rings unlocks different spells and reveals hidden secrets, helping you uncover the truth behind the In-Between.

True to its roguelite design, each playthrough offers a fresh challenge. The procedurally generated worlds ensure no two runs are alike, requiring you to adapt your strategy constantly.

“My goal was to craft a charming, minimalist world exploring life and death—a place where players lose themselves in the flow of discovery, strategic gameplay, and heartwarming music,” says Jo Drolet.
