CI Games has revealed what players can look forward to in Lords of the Fallen 2 during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live, noting that the sequel has evolved significantly based on community feedback following the original game’s challenging launch.

Built as a fully standalone sequel to the 2023 release, this Unreal Engine 5-powered follow-up introduces two interconnected worlds to explore— including an expanded Umbral realm—and features shared campaign progression in online co-op.

"After selling over 2 million copies and welcoming more than 5.5 million Lampbearers into the world of Lords of the Fallen, it’s clear our resurgence was driven by our community," said CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski. "With Lords of the Fallen 2, we’re taking that commitment further. In 2024, we pledged to become a player-first studio. The V2.0 update was that promise in motion: listen, respond, and deliver. This sequel is built on that same principle."

Additional details confirmed today include optional PvP and customizable game modifiers.
