Ultizero Games has announced a three-month delay for the highly anticipated action game Lost Soul Aside, pushing its release from May 30 to August 29, 2025.

After nearly a decade in development, the PC and PlayStation 5 title was preparing for launch next month before the studio decided to extend development for final refinements.

Developer Commits to Quality Over Deadlines

In an official statement, Ultizero Games explained: "We deeply appreciate the overwhelming enthusiasm players worldwide have shown since Lost Soul Aside's announcement. Our priority remains delivering an exceptional gaming experience. To meet our studio's exacting standards, we require additional time for polishing. The new release date is August 29, 2025. We sincerely thank our dedicated fans for their patience."

Beginning as independent developer Yang Bing's passion project, Lost Soul Aside evolved into a flagship title under Sony's China Hero Project initiative. Bing now leads Shanghai-based Ultizero Games as founder and CEO.

From Viral Concept to PlayStation Showcase

During a recent interview, Bing reflected on the game's development journey - from its early days as a solo endeavor to its prominent showcase during Sony's State of Play presentation. Since its viral 2016 debut, the title has drawn comparisons to a stunning fusion of Final Fantasy's character design and Devil May Cry's signature combat.

Players control protagonist Kesar, armed with a morphing weapon that alters combat styles when transformed. A dragon-like companion named Arena provides magical support abilities throughout the adventure.

The game blends elements from its inspirations - featuring aerial dodges, precise counters, combo-heavy combat and epic boss encounters. Its multidimensional sci-fi narrative combines diverse visual styles while following Kesar's personal journey of redemption and self-discovery.
