Players are flocking back to Street Fighter 6 to try its latest fighter - the iconic Mai Shiranui from the Fatal Fury series has joined the roster.

Capcom's flagship fighting title continues its strong performance, having sold 4.4 million copies by December 31, 2024. While some fans have expressed concerns about content pacing, the introduction of this beloved character has reignited enthusiasm.

As the third addition in Season 2, Mai's debut significantly boosted Street Fighter 6's player count. Steam concurrent users peaked at over 63,000 on release day - smashing the previous record of 24,000-27,000 and marking the highest since May 2024.

Battle Pass subscribers gain immediate access to Mai. Players can build relationships with her in World Tour mode, master her signature moves, then showcase their skills in Battle Hub. The fighter also receives an alternate costume inspired by her upcoming appearance in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.

Battle Hub features a special limited-time guest - legendary fighting game developer Professor Woshige, available until March 10. The update also introduces new Master League tiers and exclusive rewards.
