Set in 1898 at the ominous Sker Hotel on the Welsh coast, Maid of Sker immerses players in a creepy, old hotel filled with dark secrets and the haunting sounds of Welsh hymns. Inspired by Welsh folklore, particularly the legend of Y Ferch o’r Sger (The Maid of Sker), the game's narrative unfolds as you play Thomas Evans, investigating the strange behavior of his girlfriend Elisabeth Williams' family. However, the unsettling truth soon emerges: the hotel is under the control of a sinister group known as "The Quiet Ones."
These enemies are blind but possess incredibly sensitive hearing. The slightest noise will attract their attention, creating a tense atmosphere reminiscent of the film A Quiet Place. Firearms are largely ineffective; survival hinges on stealth and silence. A helpful gadget temporarily stuns enemies, but it's not a limitless resource. Prepare for a truly nerve-wracking experience!
