No Man\'s Sky: How to Get Solanium
No Man's Sky: A Comprehensive Guide to Obtaining Solanium
Solanium, a crucial resource in No Man's Sky, is exclusively found on planets with specific climates. This guide details how to acquire Solanium through gathering, farming, and crafting.
Locating Solanium:
Unlike Frost Crystals, Solanium thrives on hot and arid planets. Before landing, use your starship scanner to identify planets with descriptions like "Arid," "Incandescent," "Boiling," or "Scorched." The scanner will also indicate Solanium as a present resource.
Once landed, employ your Analysis Visor to locate Solar Vines – tall, rock-like structures with luminous vines. These grow in clusters. Remember, you'll need a Haz-Mat Gauntlet to harvest them. While on these planets, collect Phosphorus deposits as well; they're crucial for Solanium crafting.
Farming Solanium:
After progressing the Farmer's Agricultural Research mission, establish a Hydroponic Tray or Bio-Dome at your base. Plant Solar Vines using 50 Solanium and 50 Phosphorus. If your base is situated on a hot planet, direct ground planting is possible. Harvesting occurs after approximately 16 real-time hours.
Crafting Solanium:
The Refiner offers several Solanium crafting recipes, most requiring Phosphorus (obtained from hot planets or purchased from traders/Galactic Trade Terminals). Here are the recipes:
- Solanium + Phosphorus (to produce more Solanium)
- Phosphorus + Oxygen
- Phosphorus + Sulphurine
- Di-hydrogen + Sulphurine
Note: All recipes, even those involving Sulphurine, necessitate a visit to a hot planet. To ensure a consistent Sulphurine supply, prioritize Phosphorus gathering and base farming.
