Building a robust deck around her can be challenging, but with the right strategy, she can be a game-changer.

After extensive testing, I've identified two top-tier decks for Moonstone: Patriot and Tribunal setups. This guide will detail how to build and optimize these decks. Moonstone shines in decks where she serves a supportive role rather than being the main win condition. A reliable setup involves integrating her into a Patriot-Ultron deck. The goal is to have her copy one or two key Ongoing effects, rather than overloading her ability.

To construct an effective Moonstone deck with Patriot and Ultron, include the following cards: Brood, Mystique, Dazzler, Mockingbird, Ant-Man, Iron Man, Squirrel Girl, Blue Marvel, and Mister Sinister.

Moonstone Deck Synergies

• Prepare the board for buffs by playing Brood, Sinister, or Squirrel Girl.
• In one lane, play Patriot, Mystique, and Moonstone (preferably in that order).
• In the final round, play Ultron to fill all locations and maximize buffs.
• Iron Man, Blue Marvel, and Mockingbird serve as backup cards to cover any power shortages in specific lanes.

An Alternative Deck for Moonstone

For a thrilling gameplay experience, pair Moonstone with Onslaught and The Living Tribunal. This setup focuses on Moonstone as a primary win condition, alongside these cards: Onslaught, Living Tribunal, Mystique, Magik, Psylocke, Sera, Iron Man, Ravonna Renslayer, Captain America, Howard the Duck, and Iron Lad.

Here's the ideal play sequence:

1. Use Psylocke to play Moonstone earlier in the game.
2. Play Onslaught, Mystique, and Iron Man in Moonstone's lane.
3. In the final round, use The Living Tribunal to distribute power across all lanes.

Psylocke and Sera provide cost reductions, enabling early plays of key cards. Magik extends the match, allowing for the strategic placement of Onslaught and The Living Tribunal. Meanwhile, Captain America and Iron Lad act as backups if you miss drawing essential cards.

While many anticipated the Moonstone-Onslaught-Tribunal combo to become a meta staple, few foresaw her vulnerability to Super Skrull in this setup.

How to Counter Moonstone

Moonstone's fragility makes her an easy target for Super Skrull, which has become a popular addition to counter her decks. Enchantress, Rogue, and Echo are also effective counters. Moonstone's biggest weakness is her dependence on cards in her own lane, making her susceptible to lane-specific counters. To protect her, consider hiding her behind cards like Invisible Woman.
