This led to a 24-hour unavailability of Marvel Snap, but the game is now back online, albeit with ongoing efforts to fully restore access. In-game purchases are currently not possible, leaving many players frustrated.

In response to this incident, Second Dinner Studios is contemplating a change of publishers and plans to shift some services to internal resources to prevent similar disruptions in the future. This decision comes amidst political risks, as TikTok has been granted a 90-day extension to sell 50% of its business to a local owner. If this agreement fails, both TikTok and associated projects like Marvel Snap could face reblocking.

Second Dinner Studios has promised to provide more updates soon. Despite the outage, PC players could still access Marvel Snap on Steam. The developers were taken aback by the incident and are diligently working to restore full functionality to the game. In an official statement on Platform X, they reassured players, saying, "Marvel Snap is here to stay. We're working hard to restore the game as quickly as possible, and we'll keep players informed of our progress."

One of the most frustrating aspects for players was the lack of prior warning about the potential lockout, leading many to continue spending money on in-game purchases without realizing their access could be cut off abruptly.
