As anticipated, the release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was officially confirmed during Sony's State of Play 2025 broadcast, alongside the unveiling of a new trailer. The game is set to launch on August 28, 2025. This date had already been leaked last week through the PlayStation Store, which also made the trailer available ahead of the official announcement.

During the event, an exciting collaboration with Ape Escape was teased, hinting at nostalgic elements from the original Metal Gear Solid 3. This collaboration includes a reference to the classic monkey minigame where Snake used stun grenades and his 'Monkey Shaker' gun.
