Microsoft unveils the Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 game lineup. This announcement, preceding Microsoft's Xbox Developer Direct on January 23rd, showcases several day-one Game Pass additions, including Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and a yet-to-be-revealed title.

The Wave 2 launch begins January 21st with Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), a day-one release for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Experience mastering challenging mountain slopes, either solo or with up to eight players in cross-platform multiplayer.

January 22nd brings a flurry of additions: Flock (Console) joins Game Pass Standard, offering cooperative multiplayer flight and creature collection. Gigantic: Rampage Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) arrives on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, delivering a 5v5 MOBA hero shooter experience. Also launching on January 22nd are Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Console), Magical Delicacy (Console), Tchia (Xbox Series X|S), The Case of the Golden Idol (Console), and Starbound (Cloud and Console) – the latter already available on PC Game Pass.

January 28th sees the day-one releases of Eternal Strands (Cloud, Console, and PC) for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, a fantasy action-adventure from Yellow Brick Games, and Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), a third-person shooter and trap defense game, also for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Shady Part of Me (Cloud, Console, and PC) joins Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard on January 29th. A day-one release on January 30th, Sniper Elite: Resistance (Cloud, Console, and PC) offers co-op sniping action within occupied France.

Another day-one title, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), launches on January 31st for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Finally, Far Cry New Dawn (Cloud, Console, and PC) arrives on February 4th across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard.
