A new horror mod by the name of In Your World, crafted by the seasoned mod creator EBALIA, has just emerged and promises to be one of the scariest Minecraft mods yet.

EBALIA, the mastermind behind the chilling mod The Silence, introduces In Your World, a mod designed to instill fear in a more insidious, psyche-eroding manner than most.

We’re Not In A Dweller Mod Anymore

If you enjoy mods, you're likely familiar with other horror mods like the Cave Dweller and its numerous variations. These mods typically feature a monster that hunts you and wreaks havoc as you explore. While they're fun, they tend to rely more on jump scares than on creating a truly unsettling atmosphere.

In Your World, available for both free and paid members of EBALIA’s Patreon, takes a different approach. Instead of monsters lurking in dark caves or dense fog, or even characters like Jeff The Killer trying to attack you, this mod places you in a Minecraft world where you're subtly made to feel you're not quite alone.

Feeling Seen

The first sign that something is amiss is often an Achievement notification popping up at the bottom of your screen, ominously reading ‘I See You.’

Then, you might hear the unsettling sound of footsteps nearby. Strange, uncanny structures start to appear in the world—geometric shapes and columns that seem to serve no purpose. Occasionally, you might catch a glimpse of someone standing on these structures, watching you.

If you're particularly unfortunate, you might stumble upon a full building made of cobblestone somewhere on the map. We advise against entering it. Without giving too much away, things only escalate from there.

Currently in demo form, In Your World has already left us deeply unsettled and eagerly anticipating its full release. This mod masterfully plays on your paranoia, making nowhere feel safe, and is far more terrifying than any screaming monster could be.
