Monster Hunter Wilds Gets PC Benchmark and New System Requirements
Get ready to hunt! Monster Hunter Wilds is almost here, and Capcom has just released a PC benchmark to help you see if your rig is ready for the hunt. Even better, they've also lowered the official PC system requirements!
Capcom's PC benchmark is now live on Steam. It's a straightforward tool; after a quick shader compilation, you'll get a performance readout. This is especially helpful given the updated system requirements.
Previously, hitting 1080p at 60fps with Frame Generation required a beefy setup. Now, the recommended specs for 1080p 60fps with Frame Generation are significantly more accessible:
OS: Windows 10 (64-bit) / Windows 11 (64-bit) Processor: Intel Core i5-10400 / Intel Core i3-12100 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Memory: 16 GB Graphics Card (GPU): GeForce RTX 2060 Super / Radeon RX 6600 (8 GB VRAM) Storage: 75 GB SSD (Solid State Drive required)
This revised spec list should let you hunt at 1080p and 60fps with Frame Generation enabled, according to Capcom. The change represents a noticeable reduction in required hardware.

Early benchmark results show improved performance compared to the beta, especially with Frame Generation. However, Steam Deck compatibility remains questionable.
Another significant change is the reduced storage requirement. The game now needs only 75GB of SSD space, down from the previously announced 140GB. This is a surprising reduction, especially considering the typical increase in game sizes.
