Capcom unveiled a Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase today, detailing exciting additions to its iconic series. The event highlighted Title Update 1, new cosmetic DLC, unexpected features, and a glimpse at the next update on the horizon.

Title Update 1 launches April 4, 2025, as a free update for all Monster Hunter Wilds players. Alongside it, free and paid DLC will roll out, introducing a new social hub, fresh armor and cosmetic options, and formidable new monsters to challenge.

New Social Hub for Hunters

The showcase kicked off with the Grand Hub, a new endgame gathering spot for hunting parties. Enjoy group feasts, arm-wrestling matches, or the Diva’s nightly performances. A Barrel Bowling mini-game offers vouchers through various tasks, with additional rewards up for grabs.

Mizutsune Joins the Hunt

Title Update 1 introduces Mizutsune, a swift monster armed with powerful tail strikes and water jets. Hunters at HR 21 or higher can start the quest by speaking with Kanya in the Scarlet Forest, with new gear craftable from the hunt.

New Challenging Hunts Await

A new Event Quest features Arch-tempered Rey Dau, a tougher version of the Tempered fight, requiring HR 50 or above. Defeat it to craft exclusive armor. Zoh Shia, previously a one-time story fight, now returns as a repeatable quest at HR 50, offering new armor rewards.

Arena Quests for Speedrunners

Arena Quests challenge speedrunners to compete for the fastest clear times. Both Challenge and Free Challenge Quests will be available, with pendants awarded for participation and top performances. Access them via the Grand Hub’s counter.

Customize Alma’s Look

Alma, the dedicated handler, gets new cosmetic options. Change her outfit via the camp’s appearance menu, with one free outfit included. Completing a specific side mission also unlocks new glasses for her.

New DLC Incoming

Title Update 1 brings a mix of free and paid DLC. Classic gestures from past Monster Hunter games will be free, while Cosmetic DLC Pack 1, available via the store or included with the Cosmetic DLC Pass or Premium Deluxe Edition, offers new stickers, Alma outfits, and more.

Event Quests and Seasonal Festivities

More Event Quests and Seasonal Events are coming. Seasonal Events transform the Grand Hub’s appearance and introduce unique meals, equipment, gestures, and decorations. The Festival of Accord: Blossomdance, starting April 23, adds cherry blossom decor. Capcom confirmed most past events will return.

Update Roadmap Revealed

Title Update 1 arrives April 3 for U.S. players, with the Blossomdance event starting April 22. On April 29, Arch-tempered Rey Dau debuts, followed by additional features and a Capcom collaboration by May’s end.

Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2 Teased

The showcase closed with a peek at Title Update 2, set for summer 2025. While no exact date was shared, a teaser image hinted at the return of Lagiacrus, the aquatic leviathan, stirring chaos above water.
