"We Are Muesli Launches New Mobile Narrative Game: In Their Shoes"
Indie studio We Are Muesli has unveiled their latest project, a captivating narrative game titled *In Their Shoes*, slated for release in 2026 on both mobile and PC platforms. The game has already garnered attention, securing a nomination for the prestigious independent and arthouse games awards 'A MAZE. 2025' in Berlin.
In Their Shoes: A Narrative Game Centered on Listening
Set against the backdrop of contemporary Milan, a city brimming with contradictions, *In Their Shoes* invites players to immerse themselves in the lives of seven distinct characters. The game unfolds through 49 short, interactive stories, each termed a "Moment," offering a window into the daily experiences of its protagonists.
Each Moment in *In Their Shoes* captures the nuances of human behavior, from hesitations and routines to the split-second decisions that shape our days. Some stories unfold at a leisurely pace, allowing you to linger in a character's thoughts, while others demand quick responses, simulating the urgency of real-life situations.
Unlike conventional narrative games, *In Their Shoes* presents a narrative that's intentionally fragmented. As players navigate these stories, they uncover 26 hidden biographical details for each character, crafting a rich, slice-of-life experience.
While the game's Play Store page is yet to be launched, eager fans can explore the Steam page for more details. To get a taste of what *In Their Shoes* has to offer, check out the announcement trailer below:
