Naruto: Konoha Ninpōchō marks the beginning of the Path of the Ninja series. Released in 2003, this title was exclusive to Japan and developed for the Bandai WonderSwan Color—a handheld console from 1999 that never saw an international release. The game’s narrative centers around the Land of Waves arc, while also including additional side missions undertaken by Team 7.

2. Naruto: Konoha Senki (2003)

Like Konoha Ninpōchō, Naruto: Konoha Senki was also released exclusively in Japan in 2003. Developed by the Japanese toy company Tomy, it was made available for the Game Boy Advance. The story spans the first 70 episodes of the anime, covering arcs like the Land of Waves and Chūnin Exams. Initially, players can only control Team 7 and Kakashi, but more characters become playable as the game progresses.

3. Naruto: Path of the Ninja (2004)

Despite being labeled as the third installment, Naruto: Path of the Ninja shares similarities with Konoha Senki, both being developed by Tomy. It launched in Japan in 2004 for the Nintendo DS and was later ported to the Game Boy Advance for a worldwide audience. The storyline covers early arcs of the anime, culminating in the Chūnin Exams.

Though titled RPG 2, this game is actually a sequel to Naruto: Path of the Ninja. Released in 2005 for the Nintendo DS in Japan, it was developed by Tomy and remained region-locked. The story follows the Search for Tsunade arc and concludes with the Sasuke Recovery Mission—marking the point where Sasuke flees from Konoha.

5. Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2 (2006)

The final entry in the series, Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2, was developed by Tomy and launched in Japan in 2006 before receiving a global release in 2008. Available on the Nintendo DS, this game diverges from the previous ones by featuring an original filler storyline. The main antagonists are the Three Ryūdōin Brothers, and the game introduces an original ANBU character who serves as the player’s ally throughout the journey.

That concludes our overview of the Naruto: Konoha Ninpōchō series. While each title carries a unique name, they all deliver engaging Naruto-themed gameplay experiences rooted in—or inspired by—the beloved anime universe.
