Neowiz and Gamfs N have released the first content update for BrownDust2 since its December 1.5-year anniversary celebration. Dubbed "Onsen Training," this update brings a fiery new adventure to the game.

This Japanese-themed hot spring event features sword-fighting battles, challenging gameplay, and a healthy dose of monkey-related mayhem. It's a fun and unpredictable experience.

BrownDust2's Onsen Training: A Detailed Look

The update introduces three new characters: Ventana (the main protagonist, available via pickup draw), Liberta (also available via pickup draw), and Blade (story-exclusive).

The Onsen Training event story unfolds within the same universe as BrownDust2's Character Pack 1: Jayden's Gate. It boasts 30 battles, divided into 15 normal and 15 challenge modes.

Ventana, the Kendo Club captain, seeks to regain her honor after a defeat. Her training at a snowy mountain hot spring is disrupted by mischievous monkeys, leading to an unexpected encounter with Blade, a legendary Kendo Club graduate. Liberta, the hot spring manager, plays a pivotal role in helping Ventana secure Blade's training.

A New Mini-Game Joins the Fun

"Onsen Tile Tactics" is a time-limited tile-clearing mini-game. The event story unfolds in phases: "Legendary Graduate" (week one), culminating in "Beyond Legend" (week three).

Players will face returning and new bosses. Giant Rou returns in week one, while week three introduces the formidable Snowy Mountain Tyrant, a powerful monkey who gains strength when enemies are afflicted with DoT effects. Rucersingha, the Ruler of the Void, makes its debut as a Guild Raid boss, presenting a challenging fight requiring significant chain stacks.

New gear and costumes are also available. The Onsen Practitioner Ventana costume is available until January 30th, followed by the Onsen Manager Liberta costume until February 13th.
