Osmos, the acclaimed cell-absorbing puzzle game, returns to Android! Previously removed due to playability issues stemming from outdated porting technology, developer Hemisphere Games has resurrected it with a completely revamped port.

For those unfamiliar, Osmos is a unique, award-winning puzzle where players absorb smaller organisms while evading larger ones. Its simple yet engaging gameplay made it a hit, but Android users had been unable to enjoy it for years.

Now, Osmos is back on Google Play, optimized for modern Android devices. Hemisphere Games explains in a blog post that the original Android version, developed with Apportable, became difficult to update after Apportable's closure. The game's removal was necessary due to incompatibility with current (64-bit) Android systems. This new release features a completely rebuilt port, addressing those issues.
