Palworld's latest update, version 0.5.0, brings an exciting array of new features, including crossplay across all platforms. This major update also introduces the ability to store Pal data in the Global Palbox, enabling players to transfer Pals between worlds seamlessly. A new Dimensional Pal Storage system offers 10 times the capacity of the regular Palbox, and it can be utilized as both guild and personal storage with customizable private settings.

In addition to these storage enhancements, players can now enjoy a cosmetic armor system through the Antique Dresser, allowing them to change their character's appearance without affecting armor stats. The update also includes a new Photo Mode for capturing stunning in-game screenshots, a Drafting Table for upgrading blueprints, and dedicated servers for Mac users, enhancing the gaming experience across different platforms.

Developer Pocketpair is actively working on adding dedicated servers for the PlayStation 5 version, which will be released at a future date. Since its early access launch in January 2024, Palworld has attracted an impressive 32 million players. The studio has outlined a content roadmap for 2025 that promises more exciting features, including an "ending scenario" and additional content for this popular creature-catching survival game.

Launched on Steam for $30 and simultaneously on Xbox and PC via Game Pass, Palworld shattered sales and concurrent player records. The game's immense success led Pocketpair to form a new business, Palworld Entertainment, in collaboration with Sony, aimed at expanding the IP and bringing the game to PS5.

However, the game faces a legal challenge from Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, who have filed a lawsuit alleging that Palworld infringes on multiple patent rights. Pocketpair has responded by adjusting how players summon Pals and is prepared to defend its position in court.

・Buildings can now be placed even if they overlap with a Pal
