Pedro Pascal Slams JK Rowling as 'Heinous Loser' Over Anti-Trans Comments

Pedro Pascal, renowned for his roles in hit series like The Last of Us, The Mandalorian, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, has publicly criticized JK Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, due to her recent statements against the transgender community. This backlash follows Rowling's support for a UK Supreme Court decision that legally defines "woman" as "a biological woman and biological sex," thereby excluding transgender women from protections under the country's Equality Act.

Rowling celebrated the court's ruling on Twitter/X with a photo of herself enjoying a cigar and a drink by the ocean, captioning it with, "I love it when a plan comes together." This was a nod to her financial contributions to For Scotland Women, the group behind the legal challenge.

In response to a video by writer and activist Tariq Raouf, who condemned Rowling's actions as "serious Voldemort villain sht," Pascal echoed the sentiment in his reply, stating, "Awful disgusting SHT is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior."

Pascal's advocacy for transgender rights is not new. He has previously expressed his views strongly, once sharing, "I can’t think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorizing the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you, except the right to exist," alongside an image of a sign proclaiming, "A world without trans people has never existed and never will." Additionally, at the premiere of Thunderbolts in London, he wore a shirt that read "Protect the dolls," a term used within the LGBTQIA+ community to refer to trans women.

His support extends to his personal life as well; his sister, Lux Pascal, is a trans woman who publicly came out in 2021. Pedro Pascal celebrated her announcement with a heartfelt message, "Mi hermana, mi corazón, nuestra Lux," translating to "My sister, my heart, our Lux."
