In Persona 4 Golden, Golden Hands, including the Happiness Hands found in Yukiko's Castle, can appear randomly in any dungeon, either roaming the overworld or bursting out from treasure chests. As you progress through the dungeons, these Golden Hands become progressively tougher, making them some of the most challenging foes you'll encounter.

Despite their difficulty, defeating these elusive enemies is highly rewarding, as they drop substantial amounts of XP. This makes tackling them a worthwhile endeavor, especially early in the game with the Happiness Hands.

Happiness Hand Affinities In Persona 4 Golden

Happiness Hands boast a formidable resistance against all forms of elemental damage. The key to overcoming them lies in leveraging Physical damage, as it's the only type they're not heavily resistant to. While Almighty damage is typically effective against Golden Hands, it's not a viable option so early in your journey. Happiness Hands tend to not deal much damage and may even waste turns standing idle, but they'll flee at the first opportunity.

Be aware that if a Happiness Hand strikes a weakness or scores a critical hit, it will attempt to escape. In the event you encounter a group, focus your attacks on one target to maximize your chances of defeating at least one before they all scatter.

How To Beat Happiness Hands In Persona 4 Golden

To effectively combat Happiness Hands, your first step should be to fuse an Orobas, which comes equipped with the Hysterical Slap skill. This skill not only strikes twice but also has a chance to inflict Rage, causing the Happiness Hand to use its basic attack and preventing it from fleeing. You can fuse Orobas using the following combinations:

• Apsaras + Forneus
• Apsaras + Slime

Before engaging a Happiness Hand, ensure your party is fully healed. This allows you to concentrate solely on using HP-consuming physical attacks during the battle. Have Yosuke employ Sonic Punch, Chie use Skull Cracker, and the Protagonist utilize Hysterical Slap repeatedly until the Happiness Hand is defeated. Keep in mind, success at this stage largely depends on luck due to limited options, but defeating a Happiness Hand can significantly boost your party's levels early on.

If you manage to knock down a Happiness Hand, refrain from using an all-out-attack unless you're certain it will finish off the enemy. Otherwise, it might get back up and escape.
