New "Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii" Game Plus Mode Unveiled

The holiday break is behind us, and it's time to dive back into the exciting world of gaming news! While the Nintendo Switch 2 remains highly anticipated, today's spotlight shines on a beloved franchise: Like a Dragon. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled fresh gameplay footage for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, showcasing its captivating pirate-themed adventure set in Hawaii.

The showcased gameplay highlighted extensive ship customization, expansive open-sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and diverse locations ripe for discovery. Goro Majima, a series favorite, will boast two distinct combat styles: a nimble, speed-focused approach and a more tactical style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.

Players can assemble a unique crew of allies, each contributing their skills to battles, exploration, and treasure hunting. The game promises hidden islands and original side quests, adding depth and replayability.

A significant announcement concluded the presentation: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth's "New Game+" mode will be a free post-launch addition! This is a welcome change from the previous title, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, where this feature was exclusive to a pricier edition, drawing criticism from SEGA. This generous update is expected to arrive via a patch approximately six weeks after the game's official launch.
