Pokémon TCG Pocket's highly anticipated trading feature has finally arrived! However, the initial player response has been mixed. Fortunately, a brand-new expansion, Space-Time Smackdown, offers a welcome distraction.

As January draws to a close, Pokémon TCG Pocket fans have double the reason to celebrate. The long-awaited trading feature is live, alongside the major Space-Time Smackdown expansion!

Trading works much like real-life card trading, allowing exchanges with friends. However, limitations exist: only certain card rarities (1-4 and 1-star) are tradeable, and resources like trade hourglasses and tokens are required. Despite these restrictions, it's a significant addition to the game.

But that's not all! Space-Time Smackdown introduces iconic Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia, alongside Sinnoh region starters Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup, among other exciting additions.

The trading feature's reception, however, has been less than enthusiastic. While the implementation is solid, the numerous caveats are a significant drawback. A more streamlined, less resource-intensive trading system might have been preferable. Developers are reportedly monitoring player feedback, suggesting potential future improvements.
