The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza held in three different cities across the globe in May and June 2025:

• Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
• Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
• Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th

What to Expect at Pokémon GO Fest

Pokémon GO Fest is renowned for its exclusive in-game content, including:

• Rare Pokémon Encounters: Expect the appearance of rare Pokémon typically unavailable through standard gameplay, similar to the 2024 event featuring Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow.
• Increased Shiny Rates: Shiny Pokémon will have a boosted appearance rate.
• In-Person Event Exclusives: Attendees at the in-person events will enjoy unique experiences, exclusive merchandise, themed sets, community hubs, and team lounges.

January Events: Fashion Week and Shadow Raid Day

Beyond Pokémon GO Fest, Niantic has announced two additional events for January 2025:

Fashion Week: Taken Over (January 15th - 19th, 2025, 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm local time):

• Rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni.
• Debut of Shroodle and Grafaiai, obtainable from 12 km Eggs.
• Appearances of other Shadow Pokémon like Snivy and Tepig.
• Chance to encounter a fashionably dressed Croagunk via snapshots.

Shadow Raid Day: Shadow Ho-Oh (January 19th, 2025, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm local time):

• Five-Star Shadow Raids featuring Shadow Ho-Oh.
• $5 USD ticket grants eight additional Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL chances, 2x Stardust, and 50% more XP from Raids.
• Increased Shiny Ho-Oh encounter rate.
• Opportunity to teach a captured Shiny Ho-Oh its signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
