Metroid Prime 4: Beyond's Development History

Initially announced at E3 2017 without a named developer, development was later restarted under Retro Studios in 2019 due to initial progress not meeting Nintendo's standards.

A June 2024 Nintendo Direct showcased gameplay footage and confirmed the title as Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, revealing Sylux as the antagonist. Nintendo reaffirmed a 2025 release window on January 3, 2025.
