The successful applicant will be responsible for crafting a high-quality game design, encompassing all aspects from core gameplay and progression systems to combat and mission design. The ideal candidate possesses diverse genre experience, including third-person action, open-world adventures, and melee-focused combat titles. This has fueled speculation about a potential return to the Batman franchise, the series that propelled Rocksteady to prominence.

The requirements closely mirror the Batman: Arkham series, contrasting with the gunplay-centric Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. As Rocksteady is in the initial hiring stages, the project is likely still in its conceptual phase. Industry expert Jason Schreier suggests that, should a new single-player Batman title materialize, it wouldn't launch for several years.
