Sonic Rumble has already made waves with its pre-global launch crossover event, dubbed Crossover Event #0: SEGA Stars. This exciting event is live from now until May 7th, right before the game's worldwide launch on May 8th. Currently in soft launch, Sonic Rumble is accessible in over 40 countries. It had its first pre-launch in Summer 2024 in regions such as the Philippines, Scandinavian countries, and Colombia, followed by a second pre-launch in Canada, Turkey, Malaysia, South Africa, and more.

What’s in Store?

If you're in one of the regions where Sonic Rumble soft-launched last year, you can jump into the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars crossover. The event brings back the Altered Beast crew, offering the Werewolf transformation for free. Nostalgic fans can also grab the Werebear and Weredragon transformations, though availability varies. The Weredragon is exclusive to the Premium Pass, while the Werebear can be purchased with regular rings.

Adding a touch of Fantasy Zone, Opa-Opa and Upa-Upa join the fray. Opa-Opa is part of the Premium Pass, whereas Upa-Upa can be obtained through fragments, each costing 700 standard rings. Super Monkey Ball's AiAi and MeeMee also make an appearance. To get AiAi, you'll need 729 Red Star Rings. Check out the crossover event in action below.

Earn Exclusive Goodies During the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars Crossover

During matches, you can earn extra goodies by collecting SEGA logos. While it might seem unusual for the event to be live before the global release, SEGA has assured that most of these pre-release rewards will return later. This first crossover event showcases a delightful blend of SEGA's past and present, featuring monkeys, sentient arcade ships, and buff were-things mingling with Sonic and friends, making Sonic Rumble a promising title.
