How to Become a Shinigami in Hollow Era

Initially, you're a Soul Spirit. To become a Shinigami, accept the first quest from the NPC, Hurt Shinigami. Choosing the Shinigami path is irreversible; you can't switch to Hollow unless you become a Visored (explained later). If you prefer the Hollow path, consult our Hollow progression guide.

The Shinigami/Hollow choice requires swift action. To become a Hollow, break your chain. If choosing Shinigami, the chain will break slowly (one section every two minutes). Ignoring this will inevitably lead to becoming a Hollow. If this happens, our resurrection moves list for Hollows will be your endgame.

Hollow Era Shinigami Quests Guide

Your first quest: purify 6 Lost Souls. Subsequent quests involve delivering a letter to a doctor near the hospital (found near Hurt Shinigami).

These early quests are a great opportunity to learn your powers. Consider purchasing a $1,000 random power sword from a Urakara shop. For efficient travel across the large map, use the bus stop ($200) or purchase infinite fast travel (149 Robux) from the Robux Shop.

Further quests (marked with a red crosshair) involve defeating Hollows and Corrupted Shinigami, leading up to level 15. Quest types include repeatable, progression, and those linked to paths like Vizard and Airwalk.

Full Soul Reaper Skill Tree and Reiatsu

Strategic skill point allocation is crucial for maximizing your Reiatsu. Your Reiatsu Skill Tree offers powerful Kido abilities (exclusive to Shinigami).

Kido and Reiatsu nodes increase Kido damage and maximum Reiatsu respectively. Kido abilities include:

• Caja Negacion: A lightning beam. Combine with Electric for area-of-effect damage.
• Shakkaho: An explosive energy ball. Ragdoll adds ragdoll effect; Fire adds burning.
• Chain Bind: Energy chains pull enemies closer.
• Prison of Light: Immobilizes enemies with light rods.
• Thunder Sear: A slow-moving lightning ball that explodes on contact.

How to Get Shikai in Hollow Era

Reach level 15 to unlock the Shikai Training quest from Urihiro. Defeat Urahara Kisuke for a reward and access to Shikai powers.

Note: Level 15 might be challenging. Consider reaching level 25+ before attempting this.

Unlocking Shikai grants your weapon a random powerful ability. Re-roll it at the Urahara Shop if dissatisfied. Use your Rage Bar (fills when dealing/taking damage) and press Y to activate Shikai (until Reiatsu depletes or you release Y).

Hollow Era Shikai Mastering

Shikai Mastery Points increase your Rage Bar efficiency. Higher mastery levels grant better aura effects and visual upgrades.

• Mastery Level 1 (1-149 Points): Transparent Aura
• Mastery Level 2 (150-299 Points): Brighter aura with particles
• Mastery Level 3 (300-499 Points): Lightning boost
• Mastery Level 4 (500+ Points): Zone of flying stones

Becoming a Visored in the Hollow Era

Reach level 50 to unlock the Visored quest at the Vizard's Warehouse. Vizards combine Shinigami and Hollow powers.

Defeat the King of Hueco Mundo (1% drop rate) for Hogyoku, which allows access to the Vizard fighting style.

Hollow Era Visored Mastering

Visored perks include Mask Control (reduces Hollow control) and the Visored node (extends mask usage and damage).

Visored Abilities:

• Hollow Mask: Activate your Hollow powers.
