New Pokémon Sleep Companions: Sneasel and Weavile

Pokémon Sleep players have a treat! As of December 3rd, 2024, Sneasel and Weavile are available to befriend. Here's how to add these icy-dark types to your team.

Where to Find Sneasel and Weavile

True to their dual Ice/Dark typing in the main series games, Sneasel and Weavile appear in the Snowdrop Tundra in Pokémon Sleep. However, they are classified as Dark-type only within the game, foregoing the dual typing.

Conveniently, they also appear on the starter island, Greengrass Isle, making them accessible to all players, regardless of research progress. Use an EZ Travel Ticket to switch islands if needed.

Sleep Types

Both Sneasel and Weavile share the Dozing sleep type. Maximize your chances of encountering them by ensuring your sleep type matches theirs for the night. Sneasel, as the pre-evolution, will be easier to find during Sleep Research. Evolving Sneasel into Weavile requires 80 Sneasel Candy and a Razor Claw. However, you'll still need to encounter Weavile in the wild for Sleep Research data.

Are Sneasel and Weavile Valuable?

Sneasel's Dark typing means it collects Wiki Berries, making it a valuable addition to your Snowdrop Tundra team. It also provides an Extra Tasty boost to your dishes. Its ingredient requirements include sought-after items, making a well-equipped Sneasel a worthwhile addition.
